Emergency Medical Response for Church Security Team/Staff

  • The team will learn and practice the lifesaving skills needed to stabilize a person until Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrives:

  • Life-threatening bleeding control

  • Respiratory issues (adults/children) & recovery positioning

  • CPR & AED use for adults and infants (with full manikin sets & AED trainers)

    This course aligned with national best-practice recommendations for houses of worship, which encourage training volunteers in immediate life-saving actions and integrating them into the church’s overall emergency plan

American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED

  • American Red Cross Certified Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED blended learning course equipped students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children, and infants. It was designed for students who need a certification that satisfies OSHA workplace or other regulatory requirements. This class can be taught completely in-person or in a blended learning format with an online portion (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) and instructor-led on-site skills session. Upon successful completion a valid 2-year digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED is issued from American Red Cross.

Emergency Procedures Training

  • Simple, practical guidance on what to do when emergencies arise for specific ministries in your church. This training equips leaders and volunteers with the confidence, clarity, and composure needed to respond effectively while maintaining a welcoming, ministry-focused environment. This course can provide a custom-built training session, tailored to your specific facilities, procedures, and ministries. May include:

  • Run / Hide / Fight Principles for Houses of Worship

  • Security procedures for missing children

  • Ministry interaction with Safety team and equipment (i.e. Campus cameras)

Utah Guard Course

  • This course condenses the 8-hour required content for Utah armed/unarmed private security guards into an impactful 2-hour course specifically built for Church Security volunteers. Primary areas of coverage included:

    • Utah security laws and regulations

    • Personal and church liability

    • Professional conduct and ethics

    • Emergency response procedures

    • Use of force continuum

    • Communication skills for church security personnel

    • Conflict de-escalation strategies

    • Legal authority and limitations

Active Shooter Response Scenario

  • This is an advanced, site-specific training placing safety teams inside multiple realistic, hands-on active-shooter scenarios designed around your specific facilities. This event included realistic scripted scenarios utilizing security forces and law enforcement actors. The training reinforces immediate-action principles, tactical decision-making, and coordination both within the team and with incoming law enforcement based on incomplete information and communication passed between safety team members.
